Paw Pill Box Privacy Policy

Veterinary disclaimer

Paw Pill Box is a recordkeeping and reminder tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnose conditions, or replace instructions from a licensed veterinarian. Always follow your veterinarian's instructions and contact a veterinarian regarding medication questions or emergencies.

Information you enter

You may enter information into Paw Pill Box such as:

  • Pet names and pet profiles (including species, weight and notes)
  • Medication or supplement names
  • Dosages and instructions
  • Medication schedules and repeat patterns
  • Dose history, including doses marked given or skipped
  • Veterinary appointments and other pet-care calendar reminders
  • App and notification preferences

This information is stored only on your device, in the app's own local storage. It is not sent to MHD App Dev, and the app contains no account system, server database, cloud sync or backup service. Because the records live only on your device, they are not transmitted when you use the app's pet, medication, history or calendar features.

When you open Paw Pill Box in a web browser, the page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives standard web request information such as your IP address and browser type. The Android app loads its interface from files bundled in the app.

Notifications

Paw Pill Box uses Android device notifications to deliver medication and pet-care reminders. Notification permission is optional: the rest of the app keeps working without it, and you can turn notifications off at any time in Android Settings.

Reminders are scheduled locally by the Android operating system, so the operating system processes the reminder text (for example a pet name and item name) in order to display it at the scheduled time. You can enable "Discreet notifications" in Paw Pill Box Settings to reduce the detail shown.

Purchases

Paw Pill Box Plus is a one-time purchase. Payment is processed by Google Play Billing, and purchase and entitlement status is managed through RevenueCat.

Those services handle purchase-related information such as:

  • The product purchased
  • Purchase and entitlement status (whether Plus is active)
  • Transaction and purchase identifiers
  • An app user identifier and device/store-related identifiers used to verify and restore access

Paw Pill Box does not receive or store your full payment-card information. The app only reads whether your Plus entitlement is active.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Paw Pill Box contains no advertising SDK and does not display third-party advertising. It contains no analytics, behavioural tracking or advertising-identifier SDK, and does not build an advertising profile about you.

The app includes an internal product-event helper used only during development; in released builds it writes nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

Google Play and RevenueCat generate their own purchase and app-distribution reporting (for example install, crash and revenue reporting produced by the Google Play platform itself), which MHD App Dev may see in aggregate.

Data sharing and selling

The pet, medication, history and calendar records you enter are not shared with anyone — they stay on your device. Purchase information is shared with the service providers that make purchases possible: Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.

MHD App Dev does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Records stay on your device until you remove them. Inside Paw Pill Box you can delete individual pets, medications and calendar events, use Settings → Delete medication history to erase all given and skipped dose entries, or use Settings → Start over with a blank pillbox to clear pets, medications, calendar events and history.

Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings, or uninstalling Paw Pill Box, removes the locally stored records from the device. There is no cloud backup, so removed records cannot be recovered by MHD App Dev.

Uninstalling does not remove transaction or entitlement records retained by Google Play or RevenueCat; those are kept under their own policies (and are what makes "Restore Purchase" work).

Children's privacy

Paw Pill Box is intended for adult pet owners and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not perform age verification and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Because records are kept on your device, their protection depends largely on your device security — a screen lock, up-to-date system software and controlling who can use the device. Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat over secure connections. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system or device storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. When it is, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of Paw Pill Box after an update means you accept the revised policy.
